She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2015 from First Reserve, where she was an Associate working on private equity transactions in the energy industry. Previously she was an Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Merrill Lynch. Ella received a MSc in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Michael Thorne
Michael is a Chief Legal Officer based in the New York office and responsible for advising the firm’s deal teams on legal documentation and related issues. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2014 from Morgan Lewis, where he was a lawyer in the private investment funds practice, advising private equity and hedge fund clients. Michael received a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
Maaike van der Schoot
Maaike is AlpInvest Head of Responsible Investment and oversees the development and implementation of the Responsible Investment policy. She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2002. Prior to her current role, she was an investment manager in the Co-Investment team. Maaike previously worked at Morgan Stanley in London as an investment banking analyst. Maaike received an MSc in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Bart is a Principal in AlpInvest Partners’ Co-Investment team, where he is responsible for sourcing, executing, and monitoring equity transactions in Europe. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2018 from Goldman Sachs, where he was an Associate working in the Investment Banking division. Bart received a MSc in Quantitative Finance & Actuarial Science and a BSc in Econometrics & Operations Research from Tilburg University.
Serina Yu
Serina is a Principal in the Primary Fund Investments team, where she is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in North America. Serina rejoined AlpInvest Partners in 2016 and was previously a senior associate at AlpInvest. Before that, Serina worked at GoldPoint Partners as an associate and she started her career at Deutsche Bank as a financial analyst. Serina received a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kalvin Zhang
Kalvin Zhang is a Principal advising on investor relations in Asia Pacific ex-Japan for products of AlpInvest Partners. He is based in Hong Kong.
Kalvin was formerly a Vice President at American Century Investments responsible for Greater China business. Prior to that, he worked at JPMorgan Asset Management, developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors in China. Kalvin started his career in financial industry in the Asia institutional business team at BlackRock.
Kalvin earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Hong Kong University of Science of Technology and his Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
Linda Zhu
Linda is a Principal in the Co-Investment team and focuses on equity transactions in Asia. She is based in Hong Kong and joined AlpInvest in 2015. Previously, Linda worked at Silver Lake in Hong Kong and McKinsey in Shanghai. Linda received her BSc in Economics and BA in English Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Ning Croes-Cui
Ning is AlpInvest Partners’ head of Financial Accounting. The Financial Accounting team is responsible for the consolidated financial statements of Alpinvest Partners BV and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies. Ning joined AlpInvest Partners in 2018 from Hyva Group where she led the group Financial and Reporting department. Before Hyva, Ning worked in the different international companies both in financial and business controlling functions. Ning holds a MA in English Language and Literature from Amsterdam University, a MSc in International Finance and Control from Maastricht University and she is a Registered Controller in the Netherlands.
Samip Dasgupta
Samip Dasgupta is a Principal focused on co-investment private equity opportunities in North America. He is based in New York.
From 2010 to 2013, Samip was an Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities, where he focused on investment banking transactions in the Consumer Services and Food & Beverage sectors. Prior to that, he worked at a healthcare startup which helped to develop healthcare facilities to promote Medical Tourism in India.

Patrick de van der Schueren
Patrick is AlpInvest Partners’ Chief Legal Officer for Europe and Asia. He joined the firm in 2002 from law firm Steins Bisschop Meijburg & Co., where he was a corporate partner responsible for a transactional legal team. Previously, Patrick was a senior transaction lawyer with Loyens & Loeff. During this time, he served for three years as Off Counsel with Ali Budiardjo Nugroho Reksodiputro, Jakarta. Patrick received a BA in modern history, a LL.M. in Dutch private law from the University of Utrecht and a LL.M. in European and International Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam. Patrick is a member of the Netherlands Association of Company Lawyers and the Amsterdam Bar Association.

Alexander is a Principal in the Primary Fund Investments team and focuses on equity transactions in Asia. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2012 from Cambridge Associates’ International Private Equity team in Boston. Alexander received a BA in Business Economics from the University of California.
Mark Goldberg
Mark is a Principal in the Portfolio & Risk Analysis team of AlpInvest Partners, focusing on portfolio analysis, quantitative modeling, investment allocations, new product development, fund management, and investor relations. He is based in New York. Mark joined AlpInvest Partners in 2012 from Avista Capital Partners where he worked in Investor Relations. Before Avista, he was an Analyst at Taishan Capital Corporation, based in Beijing, focusing on cross-border M&A transactions. Mark is a CFA charterholder and received a B.A. with honors in Economics, International Relations, and East Asian Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Eline Gunning
Eline is a Principal and Senior Product Specialist on the Investor Relations team specializing in managed account clients globally. She is based in Amsterdam and joined AlpInvest in 2014. From 2009 to 2014, she worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions advisory department of Rabobank International in Amsterdam and New York. Eline received her MSc and BSc in International Economics and Finance from Tilburg University and a LL.B in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam.

Stella is a Principal in the Investor Relations team within AlpInvest, focusing on clients and prospects in the Americas. She is based in New York and joined AlpInvest in 2015. Prior to AlpInvest, Stella worked at Blackstone’s GSO Capital Partners, where she was supporting investor relations and fundraising activities. Prior to GSO, Stella worked at Brevan Howard, a macro hedge fund. Stella received her B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from George Washington University.

He joined AlpInvest in 2012 in Amsterdam, relocated to New York in 2015, and returned to Amsterdam in 2018. Prior to joining AlpInvest, Jorn was an analyst in the Corporate Finance Group at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Jorn received a MSc in Financial Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2013 from Morgan Stanley where he worked within the investment banking division. Kevin McCann
Kevin is a Principal. He joined AlpInvest in 2019 from Cliffwater where he was a Director on the operational Due Diligence team reviewing private equity, hedge fund, real estate, real asset and liquid alternative investments. Prior to that, Kevin worked in different financial companies including Merrill Lynch, Citi and Goldman Sachs. Kevin received a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of Delaware and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Annemarie is a Principal in the Investment Accounting team. This team is responsible for managing and reporting investment related information. She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2000 from Rabobank, where she worked as an Account Manager in Private Banking. Annemarie received an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from VU University Amsterdam.

Phuong is a Principal in the Investment Accounting team and responsible for managing and reporting investment related information. She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2011 from Exane Group, an international broker, in various Finance and Project Management roles for over 12 years in both France and the UK. She started her career at Ernst & Young. Phuong received a MSc in Management - Specialised in Audit and Accountancy from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) Grande Ecole, Paris, France and a BSc in IT for finance from the University Of Paris Ix Dauphine in France.

Aleksandr is a Principal in the Primary Fund Investments team, where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing fund opportunities in Europe. Prior to joining AlpInvest Partners, Aleksandr spent six years at Shell Asset Management Company focusing on Private Equity fund commitments. He started his career at an investment bank in Russia. Aleksandr received a BSc in Economics from the Novosibirsk State University and a MSc in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam.

David Pareja is a Principal focused on Secondary and Portfolio Finance opportunities. He is based in New York. Prior to joining AlpInvest, David worked at Macquarie Group, where he invested Macquarie Group's balance sheet in infrastructure assets across the Americas. Prior to completing his MBA, David was an Associate at Palladium Equity Partners focused on middle-market private equity investments. David began his career as an investment banking Analyst at Citigroup. David received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an M.P.P. from Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. from Yale University.

Marianne Parker is a Principal in AlpInvest’s Secondary and Portfolio Finance team focused on European transactions. She is based in London. Prior to joining AlpInvest, Marianne was a member of CPP Investments’ secondaries team, where she focused on secondaries in Europe and North America. Prior to that, she worked in the investment banking division at RBC Capital Markets in London. Marianne received a first class masters degree (MPhys) in Theoretical Physics from the University of St. Andrews.
Stefan Singer
Stefan Singer is a Managing Director on the Secondary and Portfolio Finance team focusing on the Portfolio Finance investments. He is based in New York. Prior to joining AlpInvest in 2024, Mr. Singer was most recently Country Head of Singapore at Zagga Investments. Previously, Mr. Singer built and led the Private Markets Financing Solutions business at J.P. Morgan, where he spent 18 years in a variety of capacities across Latin America, North America, and Asia, and was a key player in developing the bank‘s capabilities in NAV-based lending. Mr. Singer received a BS in Engineering from Cornell University.

Alexander Sprengers is a Managing Director and Client Relationship Manager in the Investment Solutions segment, focused on working with investors in Europe. He is based in Amsterdam. Prior to joining AlpInvest Partners in 2011, he spent six years at The Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO in Amsterdam and Hong Kong within the investment banking team, focusing on mergers and acquisitions advisory. Mr. Sprengers received a MSc in informatics and economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Roberto is a Managing Director and co-head in AlpInvest Partners’ Co-Investment team and focuses on equity transactions in Europe. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Roberto joined AlpInvest Partners in 2013 from Advent International, where he was a Director responsible for executing and managing private equity deals on the Italian and European market. Prior to Advent, he worked at McKinsey as an Engagement manager and at Philips Research. Roberto received an MSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of Palermo, and an MBA from INSEAD.

Maarten is a Managing Director in the Portfolio and Risk Analysis team and responsible for portfolio analysis, research and allocation, risk assessment, and investor services. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2000. Prior to his current role, he was an associate in the Funds team. Previously he was a financial analyst at NIB Capital Bank. Maarten received an MA in International Financial Economics from the University of Amsterdam. He also holds an RBA (Registered Investment Analyst) from the Association of Financial Professionals (VBA) in the Netherlands.
Wendy Zhu
Wendy is a Partner, Managing Director and Global Head of AlpInvest Partners’ Primary Fund Investments team. She is also responsible for the Secondary and Portfolio Finance team in the Asia Pacific region and a member of the Operating Committee.
She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2007 from Macquarie Funds Management, where she was Senior Vice President of Asia-Pacific regional private equity fund investments and co-investments. Previously, Wendy was a Director with Deutsche Bank Asset Management and an Associate Director at MetLife.
Wendy received a BS in Business Administration and an MS in Accounting from the University of Southern California. She represents AlpInvest Partners on various Advisory Boards.
Edo Aalbers
Edo Aalbers is a Principal in the Portfolio & Risk Analysis team of AlpInvest Partners in New York, responsible for portfolio analysis/construction, research and allocation, risk assessment, fund management, and investor services. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2010 from the University of Amsterdam, where he worked as a lecturer in International Trade. Edo is a CFA charterholder and obtained an MSc in Financial Econometrics, MSc in International Economics, and a BSc in Finance and International Economics at the University of Amsterdam.
Andida Bouma
Andida is responsible for AlpInvest Partners’ investment accounting, financial accounting, and cash management. She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2000 as a member of its former Direct Investments team. Previously, Andida was with AlpInvest’s predecessor, Parnib and before she worked at both Credit Lyonnais and Chase Manhattan in corporate finance and private equity. Andida received an MA in Dutch Language and Literature from the University of Amsterdam and an MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is a certified management accountant (CMA).
Joe Chang
Joe is a Principal in the Primary Fund Investments team where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing fund opportunities in Asia. Before joining AlpInvest, he was head of Private Investments – Asia at Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company. Prior to that, Joe was with Mercer Investments as chief representative for its Asia private markets business and previously he held direct investment roles at EQT Partners and Sumitomo Corporation. Joe graduated from University of Michigan with a B.B.A. degree in finance and accounting.
Kelly Damstra
Kelly is a Principal in the Portfolio & Risk Analysis team in Global Investment Solutions specializing in financial and assurance reporting to investors and valuations. She is based in Amsterdam and joined AlpInvest in 2012. From 2010 to 2012, she worked for Liberty Global in their Corporate Accounting team in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Prior to that Kelly was an Audit and Assurance Manager with Deloitte in Sydney, Australia from 2007 to 2009. Kelly received her Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Bachelors in Accounting and Finance (Honours) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Kelly is a South African Chartered Accountant, and received her professional training with Deloitte Cape Town, South Africa (with secondments to London and Philadelphia).

He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2001 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a Senior Consultant for Corporate & Operations Strategy, responsible for advising and assisting multinationals and governmental organizations on developing corporate and business strategies. Cameron is AlpInvest’s Chief Compliance Officer and based in the New York office. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2011 from Ropes & Gray, where he was a lawyer focusing on M&A and investment management, including private equity fund formation. Cameron received a J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
Jeffrey Gruccio
Jeffrey Gruccio is a Managing Director with the Primary Fund Investments team focusing on U.S. transactions. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining AlpInvest Partners, Jeff was an Investment Vice President with Prudential Financial, where he was responsible for sourcing and leading new fund commitments and direct co-investments on behalf of the insurance company in both the U.S. and Europe and was a member of the Alternative Assets Group Investment Committee. Previously, he was with Portfolio Advisors, LLC, a private equity advisor and fund-of-funds manager, where he held roles in the U.S. and Europe.

Michael Hacker is a Partner, Managing Director and Global Head of Portfolio Finance. Michael is also the Chairman of AlpInvest’s global Investment Committee. He represents AlpInvest Partners on numerous Advisory Boards, including The Audax Group, Court Square Capital Partners, Dubin Clark & Co., GSO Capital Partners, Kinderhook Industries, Lee Equity Partners, Manulife Private Equity Partners, the Stagwell Group and Sumeru Equity Partners. Michael joined AlpInvest Partners in 2007 from UBS Investment Bank, where he was an Associate Director in the Private Funds Group responsible for providing Secondary Market advisory services. Previously, he was an Associate in the Leveraged Finance Group of CIBC World Markets. Michael received a BA in History, cum laude, from Williams College and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Yasuyuki Kanda
Yasu Kanda is a Managing Director and Client Relationship Manager in the Investment Solutions segment, focused on working with investors in Japan. He is based in Tokyo. Mr. Kanda joined the firm from McKinsey and Company, where he was an engagement manager. Prior to that, he worked at Tokio Marine Asset Management for nearly 10 years, first as Head of Research of their U.S. entity covering Japanese institutional investors for their alternative investments, and thereafter as the Chief Executive Officer of their London entity. He has also worked at AIFAM Inc, a hedge fund of funds based in New York, and Mizuho Financial Group (international business development). Yasu received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor of economics from University of Tokyo.

Sid is a Managing Director in the Co-Investment team where he is responsible for transactions in North America. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2012 from Wafra Partners, where he was a Vice President in the private equity group based in New York. Sid received a BS in Finance and Information Services from the Stern School of Business at New York University and an MS in Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, and is a licensed CPA in the state of New York.
Christophe Nicolas
Christophe is a Managing Director and Partner in the Secondary and Portfolio Finance team. He is also a member of the AlpInvest Operating Committee. He joined the firm in 2012 and co-leads the European transaction sourcing and execution effort. Christophe has over 20 years of private equity investment experience that includes European and US secondaries at Morgan Stanley and direct buyouts at Permira. His prior professional experience was in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Broadview (now Jefferies) in London and BNP in Hong Kong. Christophe received an MBA from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (“ESCP”).
Joseph O’Connor
Joseph is a Managing Director in the Primary Fund Investments team focusing on US transactions. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Joseph joined AlpInvest Partners in 2008 from Cambridge Associates, where he was a Senior Associate in the US private equity research team covering US buyout, distressed and private credit GPs. Joseph received a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a CFA ® Charterholder. He serves on a number of advisory boards of fund partnerships, including those managed by TA Associates, GTCR, Parthenon Capital, Sentinel Capital Partners and Pamlico Capital.
Chris Perriello
Chris Perriello is a Partner, Managing Director and Global Head of Secondaries. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Chris represents AlpInvest Partners on the Advisory Boards of Ridgemont Equity Partners, One Equity Partners, Roark Capital and Oaktree Principal Opportunities. Chris joined AlpInvest Partners in 2007 from Paul Capital Investments, where he was a Principal focused on fund investing. Previously, he was a Principal at Invesco Private Capital responsible for evaluating venture and LBO fund investments as well as direct investments. Chris received a BA in Economics, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Amit Sachdeva
Amit is a Managing Director and heads AlpInvest’s co-investment effort in the Asia Pacific region, where he focuses on equity transactions in Asia and Australia. Amit rejoined AlpInvest in 2018 after about 3 years at Neuberger Berman in Asia. Prior to NB, Amit worked at AlpInvest for 8 years in our Hong Kong based co-investment team between 2008 – 2016. Before that, he was with JP Morgan IBD based in New York. He started his working career in 2000 as a supply chain management consultant in the US at i2 Technologies and LogicTools respectively. Amit received a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, a Master of Science from Northwestern University and an MBA with a major in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

As Head of The Carlyle Group’s Global Investment Solutions, one of the firm’s three business segments, Ruulke Bagijn is part of the leadership team of one of largest global investment firms in the world. She also serves as Chair of the Board of AlpInvest, Carlyle’s dedicated private equity primary fund, co-investment, and secondary solutions platform with $80 billion AUM (per Q1 2024) and investment professionals in New York, San Francisco, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In addition, Ms. Bagijn is a member of the AlpInvest Global Investment Committee, which makes all investment decisions in Europe, North and Latin America, Asia, and Australia on behalf of its 450+ investors worldwide.
Based in New York, Ms. Ruulke has 20+ years of experience in global investments and a deep knowledge of private capital portfolios. She joined AlpInvest from AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets, where she was the Global Head of Real Assets Private Equity and a member of its Management Board. Before that, she was Co-Chief Investment Officer of Investment Management and Chief Investment Officer of Private Markets at PGGM, with direct responsibility for managing investments in infrastructure, hedge funds, structured credit, private equity, insurance-linked securities, and private real estate, and held senior roles at ABN AMRO.
A passionate advocate of the business case for diversity, including involving more women in private equity, Ms. Bagijn has been named a Wall Street Journal Pro PE ‘Woman to Watch,’ sits on the Carlyle Diversity & Inclusion Council and is an inaugural member of the Milken Institute’s Center for Inclusive Capitalism. Born in the Netherlands, she was also the inaugural chair of the Dutch committee of Level 20, the not-for-profit body established to inspire women to join and succeed in the Private Equity industry in the Netherlands.
Ruulke received an MSc in economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, is a CFA charterholder, and serves as a Board member of the Netherland-America Foundation (NAF), which supports high-impact exchange between the two countries.
Erica Herberg
Erica Herberg is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer of Global Investment Solutions. She is a member of the AlpInvest Partners Board and Chair of the Operating Committee.
Previously, Erica was Chief Financial Officer of Carlyle’s Global Credit segment and before that she was responsible for the Fund Management Operations of Carlyle’s Europe based private equity funds, based in Luxembourg and London. Prior to this role Erica led the Real Assets Partnership Accounting team in Washington D.C. office. She joined Carlyle in 1999 from KPMG, LLP.

Eric is a Managing Director in the Secondary and Portfolio Finance team where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in North America. He joined AlpInvest in 2011 from Jefferies, where he was an Investment Banking Analyst. Prior to Jefferies, Eric was with B.C. Ziegler and Company where he focused on mergers and acquisitions. Eric received a B.A. from Colgate University.
Omar Akbar
Omar is a Managing Director in the AlpInvest Co-Investment team where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in North America. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2018 from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he was a Senior Investment Manager in the Private Equity Department.
Omar received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
John Borys
John is a Managing Director and Client Relationship Manager in the Global Investment Solutions segment, focused on working with investors in the Americas. He is based in New York. Prior to working in Investor Relations, Mr. Borys worked on AlpInvest’s Co-Investment team focused on both private equity and mezzanine transactions globally. Mr. Borys joined AlpInvest from Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2011, where he worked in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking group. Mr. Borys earned a BSc in finance from Pennsylvania State University.
Vjerana Burleigh (née Spajic)
Vjerana Burleigh is a Managing Director on the Secondary and Portfolio Finance team focusing on the Portfolio Finance strategy. Vjerana rejoined AlpInvest in 2019 from 17Capital, a London-based credit manager, where she was an Investment Director.
She first joined the AlpInvest team in 2012 as an Investment Analyst pursuing equity and credit secondary investments in Europe and globally. Vjerana received a BSc in Economics summa cum laude from the University of Zagreb, an MSc in International Finance from the Amsterdam Business School and an executive diploma from the Said Business School.
Louis Choy
Louis Choy is a Managing Director on the AlpInvest Secondary and Portfolio Finance team, where he focuses on European transaction execution and origination. He is based in London. Prior to joining AlpInvest, Louis was a Senior Principal at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, where he focused on secondaries in Europe, Asia and North America. Previously, he worked at Pantheon Ventures, focused on European secondaries. Louis received his BBA and BMath (Double Degree) from Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Waterloo, where he graduated with Distinction and on the Dean’s Honour List.
Peter Cornelius
Peter is a Managing Director responsible for analyzing the economic and financial environment for private equity markets and examining the implications for AlpInvest Partners’ strategic asset allocation. He joined the firm in 2005 from Royal Dutch Shell, where he was Group Chief Economist. Previously, he was Chief Economist and Director of the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Program. Prior to that, he was head of international economic research at Deutsche Bank and a senior economist with the International Monetary Fund. Peter studied at the London School of Economics and the University of Göttingen where he received his doctorate in Economics. He has been a visiting professor at Leuven Gent Vlerick Management School and a visiting scholar at Harvard University. He is the author of International Investments in Private Equity (Elsevier, 2011) and a co-author of Mastering Illiquidity (Wiley, 2013).
Neal Costello
Neal is a Managing Director in the Secondary and Portfolio Finance team. Based in London, he focuses on European transactions and leads the European secondary sourcing effort. He originally joined AlpInvest Partners in 2003 in New York, where he helped found the AlpInvest US Secondary Investments team. Over the course of his tenure at AlpInvest, he has also led the firm’s Asia Secondary efforts via the Hong Kong office, and the European efforts from the Amsterdam office.
Neal also spent time with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, where he led the Secondary and Co-investments business in Europe. Previously, he was also with CIBC World Markets’ Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking division. He currently serves as a Director on the Columbia University Business School Private Equity Board. Neal received his MBA from Columbia University in New York and an Honors Business degree (HBA) from the Ivey School of Business at Western University in Canada. He is also a CFA® Charterholder.
Piet-Hein den Blanken
Piet-Hein is a Managing Director in the Primary Fund Investments team where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing fund opportunities in the EMEA region. Piet-Hein represents AlpInvest on a large number and variety of GP advisory boards. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2008 and has 15 years of experience at AlpInvest and in the private equity industry. Piet-Hein received an MSc, cum laude, in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Marleen Dijkstra
Marleen is a Managing Director in the Primary Fund Investments team where she is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing fund opportunities in Europe. She joined AlpInvest Partners in 2009. Marleen received an MSc, cum laude, in Financial Economics and a LLM in Financial Law from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Richard Dunne
Rich is a Managing Director and co-head AlpInvest Partners’ Co-Investment team with a focus on transactions in the Americas. He is a member of the Investment Committee. Rich joined AlpInvest in 2004 and has 15 years of related investment experience. Prior to joining AlpInvest, Rich worked in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup Global Markets and he received a BA in Economics, summa cum laude, from Boston College. He represents AlpInvest Partners on several portfolio company boards as well as fund advisory boards.
Joeri de Groot
Joeri is a Managing Director in AlpInvest Partners’ Co-Investment team and focuses on equity transactions in Europe. He joined AlpInvest Partners in 2012 from McKinsey & Company, where he was an Engagement Manager, working in both the corporate finance and the strategy consulting practice mainly focused on utilities and oil and gas (service) companies. Joeri received an MSc in Applied Physics from the Eindhoven Technical University and an MBA from INSEAD. Furthermore he studied Econometrics at the Free University of Amsterdam.
